Position Title:       Case Manager

Program:                     Family Violence Shelter

Responsible to:          Shelter Director

Classification:            Full Time, Exempt

Hours of Work:         40 hours per week

Start Date:                  July 1, 2017

  1. Knowledge of counseling and advocacy techniques for people who have been victims of domestic violence, including crisis intervention and case management.
  2. Conducts timely chart review to ensure all required documentation is in place. This includes: intake/discharge forms, releases, and forms required by agency funders.
  3. Assigns advocate to new resident and coordinates care with advocates on an ongoing basis to ensure effective and timely delivery of services.
  4. Conducts intake history within first two weeks of resident’s stay in Shelter.
  5. Conducts quality review of chart documentation.
  6. Assists advocates with emergency interventions.
  7. Adheres to professional standards of clinical care such as confidentiality, correct documentation, professional communication that adheres to agency guidelines.
  8. Reviews crisis call logs weekly.
  9. Prepares bi-monthly Shelter All-Staff Meeting agenda.
  10. Meets with Directors weekly to review case management and ensure advocates are working to successfully meet Shelter goals for delivery of quality care in a timely manner.

Position Title:       ATV Clinical Group Facilitator

Program:                    Alternatives to Violence

Responsible to:         ATV Lead Therapist

Classification:            Non-Exempt

Hours:                         Part-Time

Application Deadline: Wednesday, January 4th, 2017


  1. Provide primary co-leadership of weekly ATV treatment groups.
  2. Coordinate referrals and follow-up data with Program Advocate.
  3. Interview prospective clients, and initiate appropriate referrals (substance abuse, sexual abuse, mental health, etc.)
  4. Review MCMI Inventory and other prescreening assessment data, including victim report, and complete lethality assessment.
  5. Establish, maintain, and review permanent client files and documents including interview applications, assessments, court data, referrals, and weekly records.
  6. Inform Program Director promptly of any incidents of abusive or violent behavior, or other client/group concerns.           
  7. Provide individual psychotherapeutic treatment and/or group clinical guidance, support, and follow-up as needed.
  8. Establish and maintain periodic contact with probation officers or other referral agents as needed.
  9. Provide outreach support, resource liaison, and referral to community agencies as needed.  Complete and maintain file of weekly group interaction/assessment forms.
  10. Complete the BTA (Batterer Tracking Assessment) as per program protocol.
  11. Provide instruction and supervision to ATV facilitator-in-training, interns, and paraprofessionals.
  12. Attend and participate in weekly peer supervision/case presentations/support meetings.
  13. Participate in ongoing program development as needed.
  14. Maintain ongoing client progress evaluation and case management and document as needed.
  15. Research and preview current Domestic Violence literature.
  16. Attend DV training seminars as required in order to maintain clinical licensures and/or certification.
  17. All other duties as assigned.

 To recruit, organize, coordinate and lead Girlz Dayz Camp Sessions(*) with the help of the Prevention Coordinator. To ensure activities are aligned with the goals and purpose of the YWCA and to help with monitoring data collection for grant requirements.

(*)This camp session is on December 9th-11th, 2016. This camp session is for 2 nights/3 days at Camp Sloggett in Koke’e National Park.

Position Title:       Relief Crisis Counselor

Program:                    Sexual Assault Treatment Program

Responsible to:         Crisis Coordinator

Classification:           Non-Exempt

Hours:                        On-Call/Part-Time

  1. Perform all duties in compliance with the laws and regulations of the State of Hawaii and the United States
  2. Provide crisis follow up services including case management and legal advocacy activities when required.
  3. Assist with administrative functions for Sexual Assault Treatment Services; facility, clerical support.
  4. Obtain educational and promotional material for distribution via the media and brochures for clients.
  5. Work with program evaluation tools collecting and processing data for all reports as required.
  6. Assist with establishing and maintaining liaison with community groups and agencies in order to promote SART and encourage utilization of SATP services.
  7. Perform other functions as needed or assigned.
